Text Box: The tents went up and the people came out despite the weather! “Arts in the Park”, on September 9, 2006, was a very successful fundraiser. The event offered attendees a showcase of artwork by local artists (some of the artist worked on a piece throughout the day), music, wine tasting and delicious food to sample. The Freeland Community Sports Association is now working towards the possibility of a Community Center in Tittabawassee Township. “Arts in the Park” was the first fundraiser for the project. If you were there this year, you will certainly want to attend again next year; and if you weren’t there, you won’t want to miss it next year!! The program was received enthusiastically by the children and the parents. A special thanks to Mike Rybicki and Brian Kischnick for organizing the program and to the coaches and referees who volunteered their time.
