Text Box: The tents went up and the people came out despite the weather! “Arts in the Park”, on September 9, 2006, was a very successful fundraiser. The event offered attendees a showcase of artwork by local artists (some of the artist worked on a piece throughout the day), music, wine tasting and delicious food to sample.
The Freeland Community Sports Association is now working towards the possibility of a Community Center in Tittabawassee Township. “Arts in the Park” was the first fundraiser for the project.
If you were there this year, you will certainly want to attend again next year; and if you weren’t there, you won’t want to miss it next year!!
The 2nd Annual “Arts in the Park” will be September 8, 2007.
Text Box: The Parks Department will be sponsoring a Haunted House again this year. It was a great success last year and we hope that you will come out to the Memorial Park and see all the goblins and ghosts.
